Enzyme complexes

Multi-enzyme tablet formulas. Check the individual enzymes are named rather than sold as an unnamed proprietary blend.

Live cultures

Compare on CFU count and named strain — not on milligram blend weight, which tells you nothing about viable organism count.

Botanical extracts

Check the extract ratio (10:1, 20:1, 4:1) and raw equivalent. A high milligram figure on raw powder is not the same as a concentrated extract.

Capsule or tablet

Capsules allow zero-filler formulation. Tablets need binders but carry higher active loading in a smaller physical size.

Are there authorised UK health claims for these products?

No. There are no authorised EU/UK health claims on the GB NHC Register for live cultures, digestive enzymes, berberine, cayenne, dandelion or most botanicals. "Probiotic" is permitted only as a category descriptor, not as a health claim. We make no health claims — we declare what is in each product instead. Food supplements — not medicines.

What is CFU and why does it matter?

CFU stands for Colony Forming Units — the count of viable live culture organisms per serving. Our Acidophilus tablets declare 500 Million CFU of Lactobacillus acidophilus with the strain named. Many products state a blend weight in milligrams without declaring CFU or naming the strain, which makes comparison impossible.

What is in the DigeZyme PRO enzyme complex?

Five enzymes: amylase, protease, lactase, lipase and cellulase. Non-animal origin, vegan, GMO-free. Each is itemised individually rather than sold as an unnamed proprietary blend. Full declaration on the product page.

What does a 10:1 extract ratio mean?

10:1 means 10kg of raw herb was concentrated to produce 1kg of extract. Our Berberine 1000mg tablets contain 100mg of 10:1 extract — equivalent to 1,000mg of raw herb. We publish both figures so you can compare against products quoting raw powder weight.

Do your capsules contain fillers?

Our capsule range contains zero fillers — active ingredient and vegan HPMC shell only. Tablets require binders to compress and these are declared in full on each product page. We don't claim "no fillers" on tablet products.
