Most NAD capsules on the UK market hold one precursor. This one holds both, at a full 250mg each, which is why it costs what it costs — NMN and NR chloride are two of the priciest powders in the supplement trade and there is no cheap way to put 500mg of them in a capsule.
What follows is the specification and nothing else. We will not be telling you what it does, and the section further down explains exactly why.

That is the complete list — three lines, two of them the actives. A 500mg fill of two premium powders leaves no room for anything else, and we would not add it if there were.
Testing — and some careful attribution
Three separate things get conflated across this whole market: independent heavy metal testing, supplier purity assay, and "third-party tested" as a slogan. We keep them apart, because they are not the same and only one of ours is independent.
β-NMN — Independent Heavy Metal Testing
Actual numbers, by ICP-MS at Eurofins
Our NMN raw material is sent to Eurofins Scientific UK — an independent accredited laboratory — and tested for heavy metals by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. These are the measured results:

Look at what those are: numbers. Almost every certificate in this trade reports heavy metals as "conforms", "complies" or "within limits" — which tells you the material passed a test but not what the test found. A figure of 0.008 mg/kg of lead is a measurement. "Conforms" is a verdict.
Ask any NMN seller for their actual lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury figures in mg/kg. The answers are informative.
Purity is a separate document, and we attribute it separately
Our β-NMN is 99.99% by HPLC. That figure comes from the supplier's batch specification, not from Eurofins. The Eurofins certificate above covers heavy metals only.
We are spelling that out because "Eurofins tested" gets used across this market as though it covered everything on the label. Ours covers the metals, by ICP-MS, on the raw material. Saying so costs us a slogan and gains you an accurate picture.
Nicotinamide riboside chloride — supplier certificate only
The NR side is not documented to the same standard and we are not going to let it borrow the NMN's credibility. It comes with a manufacturer's batch certificate stating 99.16% by HPLC against a 99% minimum specification. That is not an independent test and we will not describe it as one.
Two further limitations on that certificate, stated plainly: identity is confirmed by TLC rather than a spectroscopic method, and heavy metals are reported as conforming to limits with no numeric results — exactly the thing we have just criticised, on our own product.
We have asked our supplier for numeric heavy metal results and a fuller identity method on future batches. Until those arrive, this is what the paperwork actually supports.
Allergens
There are three things in this capsule — β-NMN, nicotinamide riboside chloride and an HPMC shell — and none of the fourteen allergens named in UK law is an ingredient of any of them. No gluten-containing cereal, no milk, no egg, no soya, no nuts, no fish, no shellfish.
What we will not do is print a full fourteen-allergen declaration as though we held one. We do not currently hold a signed allergen statement from our supplier for these two materials, and we have asked for one. When it arrives it will go on this page. If you have a serious allergy and need that document before you buy, ask us and we will tell you honestly what stage it is at.
No Authorised Claims Does Not Mean No Research
You will notice this page tells you nothing about what NMN or nicotinamide riboside does. That is not because nothing is known — NAD and its precursors are among the most heavily studied subjects in modern biochemistry. It is because getting a health claim authorised in Great Britain is a process most ingredients never go through.

Authorisation is funded by whoever stands to profit from the claim, and no company will spend six figures on an ingredient any competitor can then sell. So NMN and nicotinamide riboside sit outside the register regardless of the evidence behind them. The lawful position is that we sell you a specification and you make your own decisions — which is what the rest of this page does.
And here is the distinction almost every NAD seller blurs
Nicotinamide riboside chloride IS authorised in Great Britain — as a novel food. You will see sellers lean on that word. It is worth understanding what it actually means.
A novel food authorisation is a safety and permitted-use decision. It says the ingredient has been assessed as safe to eat, in defined forms, up to a defined maximum, in defined products. It says absolutely nothing about whether it does anything.
A health claim authorisation is the opposite kind of decision — it assesses whether an effect is real. NR has the first and not the second. So "authorised" on an NR product means "permitted to be sold", not "proven to work". Anyone implying otherwise is trading on the ambiguity.
Check both for yourself: the Great Britain Nutrition and Health Claims Register for claims, and the FSA novel foods register for authorisations. Search the first for NMN or nicotinamide riboside and you will find nothing.
Where these two ingredients stand legally
This is the part of the NAD market nobody explains, and it is worth understanding before you buy from anyone.
Nicotinamide riboside chloride — authorised, with conditions
NR chloride holds a Great Britain novel food authorisation. It is permitted in food supplements, up to 300mg per day for adults and 230mg per day for pregnant and lactating women, and it must be designated on the label as "nicotinamide riboside chloride". Those conditions are why this page states a serving, states a maximum, and excludes pregnancy. The exclusivity period on that authorisation ended in February 2025, which is why NR became widely available in the UK from that year.
β-NMN — not a settled position, and we will not pretend otherwise
NMN is a novel food in Great Britain and the authorisation process has not concluded. Nicotinamide has a long history of consumption, but that does not transfer to NMN, which is a distinct molecule. In 2026 EFSA issued a positive safety opinion on a chemically synthesised β-NMN — food supplements only, adults, up to 300mg a day — but an EFSA opinion is not an authorisation, and Great Britain runs its own process on its own timeline through the FSA.
What that means in practice
NMN is widely on sale in the UK under transitional arrangements that allow products already on the market and covered by a validated application to remain available while assessment continues. We are not going to tell you NMN needs no authorisation, because that is not true, and you should be sceptical of any seller who tells you it is. What we will tell you is that at 250mg per capsule and one capsule a day, this product sits inside the 300mg figure EFSA proposed — which is more than can be said for most 500mg and 1,000mg NMN capsules on the market, including some of our own.
Why we put both in one capsule
For a straightforward reason, and not one we are permitted to dress up: people who buy NAD precursors frequently want both, and buying two separate products costs more than buying one.
NMN and nicotinamide riboside are different molecules. They are both nicotinamide-based compounds, they are both widely sold as NAD precursors, and they are chemically distinct — NR chloride is a riboside salt, NMN carries a phosphate group. Beyond stating that, we are not going to characterise what either one does in the body, because no such claim is authorised and we are not going to invent one.
If you want one precursor rather than two, we sell both separately and usually more cheaply per milligram.

Questions
Why only one capsule a day?
Because of the nicotinamide riboside, not the NMN. NR chloride is authorised in Great Britain up to 300mg a day and one capsule holds 250mg, so a second capsule would take you over a legal maximum rather than just over a suggestion. This is the reason we do not sell a two-a-day version of this product.
What is the difference between NMN and NR?
They are two different molecules, both derived from nicotinamide and both sold as NAD precursors. NR chloride is a riboside salt (CAS 23111-00-4); NMN additionally carries a phosphate group (CAS 1094-61-7). Beyond that chemistry we are not able to tell you what either does in the body — neither carries an authorised health claim in Great Britain, so any seller describing their effects is going beyond what is permitted.
Is NMN legal to sell in the UK?
It is on sale widely and lawfully under transitional arrangements, but its novel food authorisation in Great Britain has not concluded. We will not tell you it needs no authorisation, because that is not the position. If a seller tells you NMN is "not a novel food", check it — it is one, and the process is ongoing.
Is the whole product independently tested?
No, and that is worth being precise about. The NMN raw material has an independent Eurofins heavy metal result by ICP-MS, with the figures published above. Its purity figure is from the supplier's batch specification, not from Eurofins. The nicotinamide riboside chloride has a manufacturer's batch certificate only. Why is it more expensive than your single-ingredient capsules?
Because it holds 500mg of two of the most expensive powders we buy, with nothing cheap making up the volume. If you only want one of the two, buying it on its own will cost you less per milligram.
Is it vegan?
Yes. The shell is HPMC, which is plant-derived, and the only other contents are the two powders. No gelatin and no animal-derived ingredients anywhere in it.
Can I open the capsule?
You can. Both powders are water-soluble. Be aware that NR chloride is hygroscopic and less stable in solution than dry, so mix it fresh rather than making up a drink in advance.
Which pack size should I buy?
At one capsule a day, 30 capsules is a month, 90 is three months and 300 is ten. Larger packs cost less per capsule, so buy the size you would realistically get through.
