Why capsules have no fillers
A capsule is filled, not pressed. The powder goes into the shell as it is, so there is no need for anything to hold it together. When a capsule product lists a flow agent or a bulking agent, it is usually because the ingredient was too light or too sticky to fill without one; ours are chosen and sized so that is not needed.
Why tablets need excipients
Powder pressed under several tonnes will not form a tablet, or will form one that never breaks up, without a binder to hold it, a disintegrant to let it dissolve and a lubricant to release it from the press. These are ordinary permitted ingredients and are listed in full on each tablet page. Any tablet described as filler-free is either mislabelled or not a tablet.
What size 00, 0 and 000 mean
Capsule shell sizes. A 00 holds about 0.9ml, a 000 about 1.4ml, a 0 about 0.7ml; how many milligrams that is depends on the density of the powder, which is why NMN and magnesium glycinate at the same size carry different weights. We declare the weighed fill, not the capacity.
Open one and look
A capsule can be opened. Pure NMN dissolves under the tongue with a clean, slightly tart taste; magnesium glycinate is a fine white powder with a faint sweetness from the glycine; a botanical extract is coloured and smells of the plant. Gritty, chalky or sweet where it shouldn't be suggests bulking. We would rather you checked.

Our own line, since 2016
Capsules are filled at Unit 1, 8 Towerfield Road, Southend-on-Sea, on our own equipment, which is how we control fill weight and keep the shell empty of anything but the ingredient. The unit holds a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating from Southend-on-Sea City Council.
Weighed fill, declared as weighed
The figure on the label is the weighed fill of the capsule. When the NMN Dual came in at 600mg on the scale, the label said 600mg, not the 700mg we had planned. What the capsule holds is what the page says.

What is the difference between your capsules and your tablets?
A capsule is a two-piece HPMC shell we fill with the powdered ingredient; nothing else goes in, which is why we describe capsules as having no fillers. A tablet is powder pressed under force, and it will not hold together or release properly without binders, a disintegrant and a flow agent, so every tablet carries a short list of excipients. Both formats are declared in full on the label; the difference is what the format needs, not the quality of the ingredient.
Are the capsules vegan?
Yes. The shells are HPMC (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), a plant-derived cellulose, not gelatin. The contents are the ingredient alone. A few products carry an allergen for another reason, such as soya lecithin in liposomal vitamin C, and those say so on the card and the label.
What capsule sizes do you use?
Size 00 for most single ingredients, holding roughly 500mg to 1,000mg depending on the powder's density; size 000 for the heaviest fills such as the 1,000mg Magnesium and Potassium Citrate; size 0 for lighter or lower-dose ingredients. The size and the fill weight are on each product page, and the fill weight is what we declare, not a rounded figure.
Why do some products come as both capsules and tablets?
Because they suit different buyers. Capsules give you the ingredient with nothing added; tablets hold more active per unit and cost less per serving, which matters on a long-term product like magnesium. Where we offer both, the compound and the elemental figures are the same and only the format and price differ.
Where are they made?
Capsules are filled on our own line at Unit 1, 8 Towerfield Road, Southend-on-Sea, which holds a 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating; we have self-encapsulated NMN there since 2016. Tablets are pressed to our specification by UK contract manufacturers and packed by us. Raw materials come with a supplier dossier and a batch certificate of analysis.
How do I read the amounts on your pages?
Two figures where it matters: the compound and the element. Magnesium bisglycinate 650mg providing 85mg magnesium; zinc citrate providing 15mg zinc; L-arginine HCl 700mg providing about 580mg L-arginine. The elemental or free figure is what the authorised claims are measured against, and it is the one to compare between brands.
Do all of these carry health claims?
No. Vitamins and minerals carry the claims the Great Britain register gives them, in fixed wording, and each product page explains them. NMN, L-theanine, ashwagandha, lion's mane, berberine and the other botanicals and amino acids have no authorised claim and are sold on amount, purity and source.
